Age 28, Caucasian, 5'6". A graduate of Cambridge University's department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic Studies and current Assistant Professor at Harvard's Department of English, nearing tenure. Her particular area of focus is Arthurian legends. She's lived in Britain most of her life, but is in fact half-American; the British side of the family (her mother's) looks down on the Osterlunds, who were working class Minnesotans, in perhaps the worst version of the "boorish Americans / snooty Brit" trope.
Celica is, in the post-Cascade world, a literal wizard, with her Nordic ancestors being seiðkona who practiced rune magic. This is the real reason she was offered her position at Harvard rather than staying on back home at Cambridge in the UK.

When you channel and collect your magic, roll with Spirit. On a 10+, hold 3; 7-9, hold 3 and choose a complication. On a miss, hold 1 but you cannot channel again this scene. Celica knows the following spells:
• Shielding: Spend 1 hold to provide armor+1 to yourself or someone nearby; spend 2 to provide it to a small area. Armor lasts the scene and multiple applications stack.
• Teleport: Spend 1 hold to teleport yourself a short distance within the scene.
• Veil: Spend 1 hold to make yourself invisible from sight (mundane, electronic, or mystical) for a few moments.
• Deflect or redirect an oncoming blow before it strikes
• Perform a feat of telekinetic strength or precision
• Detect the presence and function of magical items or spells
• Reshape the essence or nature of an exposed object or spell
Celica has the only key to a magical library which was hidden to protect its secrets... by sinking it into the Charles River near MIT. The library itself is shrouded by illusions and protected by enchanted, nearly indestructible glass walls (magical wards). It contains the collected wisdom of her magical tradition (a library of old tomes), a laboratory for alchemy (an apothecary), and a semi-sentient illusionary castellan who watches over it for her and tidies up (an extremely knowledgable assistant). However, it's comparatively small in size and thus always lacks a key piece or ingredient for complicated work, and because she inherited it only recently, it definitely contains secrets unfamiliar even to her.
Narrative details TBA. Her ward is a gifted mage in need of a teacher, and her connection the ancient order of wizards that ran Cambridge compels her agreement to teach and look after them.
